50 Years Later… It’s Time!
This summer marks a special moment in Chelsea’s history as a time capsule buried 50 years ago during the nation’s bicentennial is set to be opened.
Carefully preserved instructions—kept in the library’s safe—have guided this long-awaited occasion. Adding to the tradition, the original “keeper of the key,” Jayme Ayn Bollinger (née Spears), chosen as the baby born closest to the burial, has been located and is part of the celebration.
Join the community on Friday, June 26, for an All-American Picnic on the library lawn as we commemorate the nation’s semiquincentennial and unearth this piece of local history together.
Chelsea High School Class Reunions
At this time, we are not aware of any upcoming Chelsea High School class reunions. If you know of a reunion that is being planned, please let us know—we would be happy to help spread the word to fellow alumni.
If your class reunion is on the horizon and you’re looking for planning assistance, ideas, or helpful resources, click below to learn more, as well as reach out to Angie (Cavadas) Smith ’70, the Chelsea Alumni Association’s Reunion Coordinator, who would be glad to help make your reunion a success.
Dedication for the Alumni History Wall
The CHS Alumni History Wall Project is bringing Chelsea High School’s history to life through an interactive display of alumni photos and memories. A dedication date has not yet been set—stay tuned for updates as the project continues to take shape and we prepare to celebrate its completion.
