Reunion Information

Please let us know if you have an upcoming reunion!

Meet Angie Smith, CAA’s new Reunion Coordinator!

We are excited to announce that Angie Smith (nee Cavadas) will be serving as CAA’s first Reunion Coordinator! Angie is a 1970 CHS graduate and has helped plan 9 reunions for her class.

Angie has been a part of the Chelsea community for many years. She moved to Chelsea from Ann Arbor when she was 3 and has lived here ever since. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Tom Smith, for 52 years. Their two children are both CHS graduates – Nathan (1998) and Tamra (1999) and they have five grandchildren attending Chelsea schools from 12th grade down to 4th grade.

As CAA’s Reunion Coordinator, Angie can help first time reunion planners wrap their arms around all the tasks necessary to run a successful reunion. For those who no longer live in the area but are responsible for the planning –  she’s a wealth of information regarding venues, vendors, and reunion activities. Most importantly, Angie can help you get the word out through CAA communications and social media to help you build a current class list with contact information.

So, whether it’s your first reunion or you just need a little help –  Angie’s got your back. She can be contacted via email at [email protected] or through CAA’s Reunion Form found on the CAA website.

Upcoming Reunion Plans

The Chelsea High School Class of 1964 reunion committee met Tuesday Nov 5th at The Arctic Breakaway restaurant in the Arctic Coliseum ice rink to plan the class’s 60th reunion. All attendees were fully aware that this is just a glitch in the space time continuum and it’s not really 60 years since graduation, Marty. Plans were made for classmates to get together July 12th and 13th of 2024 with Inverness Country Club being the venue for the event.
Also, at the end of the meeting, John Brier presented a poster to Nick Jetslaff, restaurant manager, commemorating Chelsea High’s first hockey team which played in 1961 – ‘62. The poster will be displayed at the entrance to the restaurant.

The Chelsea Education Foundation (CEF) is offering to store all of the Alumni class lists on their new donor software. The names will not be sold or shared and will be subject to their privacy policy (website). Occasionally they would like to send you an invitation to donate to the foundation.

You can act on it, ignore, delete or unsubscribe to future requests. This will allow us to keep our lists in a safe place that we can access anytime in the future. You can update the names through the alumni association website.
